January Collaborative Meetings
The Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative Governance Committee will meet January 19th from 3:30-5:00 pm and the Executive Committee will meet January 13th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. If you would like to attend or access meeting materials, please contact Laura LaCroix-Dalluhn.

Parent Leaders News
The Parent Catalyst Leadership Group (PCLG Parents) is a program of the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative. PCLG Parents work to improve the children’s mental health system AND provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers.
- PCLG’s Support Group will continue to meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 7:00-8:00pm. We will continue meeting online for the time being. Join us Thursday, January 13th at the following link: PCLG Support (Please note: this is a DIFFERENT link from the one we used last year!)

Hennepin County Seeks to Expand School-based Mental Health Services
Hennepin County is seeking applications from community-based agencies to partner with Hennepin County and Hennepin County school districts and schools to deliver high quality, developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive school-based mental health services to students and families in Hennepin County.
Hennepin County has allocated $2.25 million in federal American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to contract with mental health providers for School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMH) over two years. The county plans to award up to 20 or more contracts through this Request for Applications (RFA) for these SBMH services and contracts will be for two years.
The overarching goal of the ARP funds is to increase the capacity to meet the needs of children and families who have been impacted by COVID.
Objectives include:
- Expand school mental health into schools that currently do not have mental health services in their buildings.
- Ensure that school mental health services are in all public schools who serve youth and families with multiple challenges and might have difficulty accessing community-based services.
- Reduce health disparities for BIPOC students and families by increasing their access to high-quality school mental health services.
Who should apply?
Applicants who provide mental health services to children and families who meet one or more the following criteria:
- Rule 29 Mental Health Center/Clinic
- Community Mental Health Center
- Tribal health entity or a facility operated by an urban Indian organization
- Certified Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) provider
- MHCP-enrolled mental health clinic/provider agency
Application Timeline
- Application due date: February 3, 2022 prior to 2 p.m.
- Pre-application meeting: January 19, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.
The pre-application meeting will be hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Hennepin County staff will present information and answer questions about this RFA.

How To Submit An Application
- RFA materials are posted in the Hennepin County Supplier Portal. Look for the RFA titled “Expansion of School Mental Health Services”
- Providers will submit applications via the Hennepin County Supplier Portal. Providers who do not already have a Supplier Portal account first need to register with the Supplier Portal in order to submit their application.
