Collaborative Operating Policies

The Collaborative has established key operational policies to guide and support its collective work. The policies are followed by Collaborative leadership, committees, contracted staff, parents & caregivers as well as community members. These policies are aligned with the Collaborative Bylaws.

If you have any questions or concerns about Collaborative decisions or actions, please contact our Collaborative Coordinator or Member of the Governance Committee to share these concerns and seek resolution.

A code of conduct encourages the development of a spirit of collective decision-making, shared objectives, and shared ownership of the purpose and mission of the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative (HCCMHC). HCCMHC recognizes that contracted staff and persons involved in governance activities are leaders, models, and representatives of the Collaborative.

All persons involved in the Collaborative are expected to conduct themselves in such a way that their personal and professional conduct does not have a negative effect on services or reflect badly on HCCMHC’s public image, reputation, or credibility.

A conflict of interest occurs when the personal interests of a Collaborative Governance Committee, Executive Committee, Workgroup Members and Parent Catalyst Leadership Group members or contracted staff members interfere, or appear to interfere, with their ability to make sound business decisions on behalf of the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative (HCCMHC). All persons involved in the Collaborative have a responsibility to avoid any real or potential conflicts of interest as outlined in the policy.

The Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative (HCCMHC) has outlined a grievance policy for use by any person who regularly participates in Collaborative meetings and activities when there is a disagreement between two or more people or organizations. The policy outlines a process the Collaborative leadership will use when working to help resolve the conflict.
